• Through targeted prevention and early intervention strategies learned to reduce the incidence of stroke related to respiratory infections.
• Closely monitor blood pressure after mechanical thrombectomy.
• Implement current recommendations for managing specific conditions to improve patient outcomes.
• Select tailored therapeutic agents for patients with status epilepticus, based on individual patient characteristics and the underlying cause of seizures.
• Distinguish the diagnostic tools and treatment strategies for dural arteriovenous fistulas.
• Evaluate how dural arteriovenous fistulas present in patients and how the condition develops or change if left untreated.
• Analyze the risks and benefits of starting antiplatelet and anticoagulation therapies after intracerebral hemorrhage.
• Analyze the various stroke rehabilitation techniques and select the most appropriate approach based on individual patient characteristics to optimize patient outcomes
• Facilitate more informative and transparent goals-of-care discussions with families regarding the limitations and possibilities of clinically predicting functional outcomes after severe TBI.
This educational program will cover critical topics, including:
• Stroke risks associated with COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses
• Stroke risk reduction with modern weight loss medications
• Stroke rehabilitation techniques
• Medical management of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes
• Controversies in stroke intervention
• Management of cerebral dural arteriovenous fistulas
• Idiopathic intracranial hypertension
• Minimally invasive management of subdural hematoma
• Traumatic brain injury management and recent clinical trials
• Seizure management in the Neuro-Intensive Care Unit
• Brain death examination protocols
Each session will be followed by a Q&A, allowing for interactive discussions with the audience. By providing in-depth education on these neurological conditions and the latest management strategies, this program will equip healthcare providers the skills to plan more effective treatment approaches, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes.
